Do you want to know who is a Reiki master?
Well, I have been a Reiki master since 2018 and from my years of experience, I am pretty sure about the answer to your question.
The Reiki Master is a practitioner who has completed the third level of Reiki healing and has more influence on energy than a normal human being, as they are connected to the Divine.
Now, there are a lot of things to talk about in this context, so I have provided an explanation below that’ll leave you without any doubts.
So let’s get started.
What is Reiki And its Origin?
Reiki is a healing practice that includes using the hand positions to channel the universal life force energy at a specific spot of the body where you want to heal.
It’s also a kind of therapy that is used not only traditionally, but also spiritually, to deep dive into the meaning of your life and self-awareness.
This healing practice was first discovered and used by Mikao Usui from Japan in around 1922. He was a Reiki master and is also known as the father of Reiki.
After teaching Reiki to over 2000 people, he passed away. Later on, a student of Mikao named Chujiro Hayashi sent his student to open the first clinic in the United States on Reiki healing practice.
Who can be a Reiki Master?
To be honest, anyone capable of practising reiki hand positions and understanding the fundamentals of Reiki can be a Reiki master.
On top of that, if you feel thrilled when you dive in to spirituality and are passionate about exploring the meaning of life through Reiki healing, you can seriously consider to be a Reiki master, because this can make you stand out from many others if you love doing it.
Further, if you decide to be one of those Reiki masters, you will need to first start practising Reiki or become a Reiki practitioner.
How To Practice Reiki Healing To Become A Reiki Practitioner?
The first step to become a Reiki master is to be a practitioner. That is how you can adopt the fundamentals and the understanding behind it.
Every Reiki master is in your sight, one day a practitioner like you. So, you have to follow the same path.
During this practice, you’ll also look at responsibilities as you level up. For example, the first level is a starting level, but level second and third bring some degree of discipline and responsibilities with practice, which I’ll elaborate later.
Furthermore, you will be able to employ your body’s chakras including heart, crown, and all the seven chakras, for more efficiency on healing and using the universal life force energy.
There is also a culture of using reiki symbols, for example, Dai Ko Myo, Cho Ku Rei, and more to enhance the attunement process.
What Things To Consider To Become A Reiki Master Or Healer?
Once you start getting your hands on reiki healing practices, there are some things you need to be aware of to become a reiki master.
First off, you must pass the reiki level first, second, and third training. This is one of the important requirements for a reiki master.
During these levels, you’ll learn to align your awareness with your body, mind, and the internal soul. This can be a turning point in your perspective towards the world.
When ordinary people adopt reiki practices in their lives, they know more about themselves than they could ever imagine, as a result, they reach a point where self-satisfaction becomes a usual thing.
Reiki masters often solve any issue by reaching the source that’s responsible for any physical, mental, or emotional problems.
By being a Reiki Master, you’ll have such capability to put traditional techniques of treatment behind you and heal the affected body effectively.
Moreover, you won’t only change your internal environment, but also external things. You’ll have a sense of realization of the energy around you that flows through your body and in the world.
There’s a lot to talk about its benefits, that’s why I have given a separate section below:
What Are The Pros of Being a Reiki Master ?
First of all, if you suffer from fatigue, anxiety, or stress, fortunately, Reiki Healing can comb through the origins of these consequences and let you be as relaxed as before.
On the other hand, once you become a Reiki master, you will experience a supernatural power that’s connected to God.
At a master level, also called Shinpiden, Reiki masters put all the ego, worries, anger, and negative desires aside, to have tranquility, and allow the Reiki principles to let them become a better version of themselves. I think this is the most rewarding thing about it.
But for many individuals, amongst all the benefits of being a Reiki master, money has more value, which is why, the majority of people want to be a Reiki master.
However, when you walk through the process of being a Reiki master, you will learn that self-satisfaction is more important than wealth. Even so, if this self-satisfying avenue can bring you an added source of income, this can make it all the more attractive.
Here’s the income breakdown:
What is the Salary of a Reiki Master ?
If you are living in the United States, the average salary in an organization in which the Reiki masters work, is around $41,000 to $141,000 annually. This is quite a decent income if you compare it with other jobs.
Now, wait you have taken a sneak peek at its benefits but there are some sort of requirements that you need to make sure of
What Responsibilities Does the Reiki Master Have?
I assume there’s nothing wrong with becoming a Reiki master, but when you know about what’s going to happen along the journey as a Reiki master, you’ll not be surprised to experience any kind of fear to do that you’re afraid to complete.
First of all, It’s your responsibility to have knowledge and skills that can help people overcome their issues.
If you want to perform at the highest level, you must have a learning habit – you can’t forget learning. If so, someone will beat you by giving more value than you could.
In the world of reiki healing, there’s no shortage of knowledge, you’ll always have something to learn and practice.
Moreover, when you combine your learning with values, people get attached to your service.
You need to provide positive behavior consistently, including punctuality, explaining each question that the practitioner encounters, and leaving them satisfied.
At last, there’s an important responsibility to let everyone else take assistance in Reiki healing, this includes living and nonliving things.
In a nutshell, your job as a master is to refer your skills and knowledge on Reiki to all around your existence, and live like every creature on this planet is your relative.
Is Reiki Master And Teacher the same?
Once you know and are ready to adopt what may come with becoming a Reiki Master, you’re done.
Further, there’s a bit of confusion people have about Reiki master and teacher. You may think that both terms are different.
So, let me sprinkle some light on it.
In the majority of reiki schools, there are three levels that are required to complete the master and teacher levels. But, some schools have an extra attunement level after the third.
In both cases, after you accomplish the last level, you are ready to teach others. So, both ways have similar purposes.
For example, If you ask me what I did to be a Reiki Master, I would say, I completed three Reiki levels also called Usui Reiki, and an additional level to be a Master.
But, the answer?
Well, whether you say a master or teacher, both means that he or she is a practitioner who teaches Reiki healing to others.
You can be a Reiki Master or teacher without having to complete an extra level. The first to Third levels are usually designed to build all the foundations, basic to advanced skills which is sufficient.
On the flip side, If your reiki master wants you to complete an extra attunement level, you’ll have to do it.
Importantly, no matter how good you are at reiki healing, even if you accomplished all three levels, you’ll be completely called a Reiki Master after having some experience that comes with time.
Conclusion
I hope this guide has added some value to your life to answer your question as early as possible.
